Nicholas Coleridge
Managing Director, Condé Nast Publications UK and Vice-President, Condé Nast International
Having started as a trainee newspaper reporter in Falmouth, Cornwall, Nicholas Coleridge contributed a dozen articles to Harpers & Queen from age 17 to 22. He became Associate Editor of Tatler, a columnist for the Evening Standard (Young Journalist of the Year, British Press Awards 1984), and Editor of Harpers & Queen.
Nicholas joined Condé Nast in 1989 as Editorial Director and was later made Managing Director. In 1991 he was given the added responsibility of Vice-President Condé Nast International, and in 2005 was given further special responsibility for Condé Nast, India, a market which he still oversees.
Nicholas was Chairman, British Fashion Council 1999–2004, overseeing London Fashion Week, as well as Chairman, Fashion Rocks 2003, the rock and fashion event at the Royal Albert Hall which raised £1.3 million for The Prince’s Trust.
Nicholas was awarded the Mark Boxer Lifetime Achievement Award for Magazine Journalism. He is the author of 10 books, including six bestsellers.
