Broadcasts

The broadcast section enables you to see and hear Government in action.

You can watch Prime Minister's Questions and other statements in the House; or watch the short films about policies in practice or the latest public information adverts. You can also listen to broadcasts by the Prime Minister specially recorded for the web site.

Click on one of the categories below to see what broadcasts are available.

Not all of our broadcasts material is available at the moment but we'll be adding some our existing and new content to the broadcasts section during next week. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Technical Help

Look out for this symbol - '*' - it means that the video is available in "broadband". You don't need to do anything, and it won't affect you if you have a slower modem, the server will match the stream to your connection speed.

Java video help

If you have any problems viewing video content in our Java player visit our help page for technical advice.

RealPlayer

To view video broadcasts you will need to download the RealPlayer 8 plug in if you do not have it already. This is free, but might take around 10 minutes. Once you have downloaded the plug-in you will not need to do so again. Click here for a link to the RealNetworks website, where you should click on "Download RealPlayer 8 Basic" at the bottom of the page. Please note that you do not have to buy RealPlayer 8 Plus software to view these broadcasts, although you can of course download this if you wish.

Windows Media player

We are also making new broadcasts available to view through Windows Media Player. Click here for a link to the Microsoft website, where you can download Windows Media Player.
