Onsite workshops

Our workshops are run by qualified history teachers and fit the requirements of the National Curriculum for history, citizenship and literacy. We enable students of all ages and abilities to enjoy the challenge of finding and interpreting information from real historical sources. Most workshops are free of charge.

Museum

Our small onsite museum features a selection of historic documents, including the oldest surviving public record, the Domesday Book. Our current exhibition is The Secret State, a behind-the-scenes picture of the corridors of power during in the Cold War (2 April – 30 October 2004). Entry is free of charge.
