I want to be a Royal Marines Officer

Gaining a commission in any branch of the Royal Navy is an achievement in itself, but it takes a certain kind of individual to lead men who are among the world's fighting elite. Strength of mind is the key defining characteristic of a Royal Marines Commando. A great deal will be expected of the men under your command, but even more will be expected of you as their leader.

To qualify for your Green Beret and to become a Royal Marines Officer, you will have to complete the toughest and most demanding training course anywhere in the British Armed Forces. At 13 months, the training course will require every ounce of your mental strength and physical fitness.
