The Culture Committee of the National Assembly for Wales will discuss Dance in Wales at its next meeting on Wednesday February 23rd.Members will take evidence from Community Dance Wales, North East Wales Dance, Tan Dance Swansea, Rhondda Cynon Taff - Community Arts, Powys Dance as part of its Policy review "Dance in Wales" Chair of the Committee, Rosemary Butler AM said "The Committee would like to gain as full a picture as possible of the provision and support for dance in Wales. This week we are looking at Dance in the Community, which I know is an important part of the Dance scene in Wales. In future meetings we will consider Dance in Education and the role of performing companies." During the meeting Members will also receive updates on the Sgrin Review Report from Arts Council for Wales, and on the evaluation being carried out by the University of Glamorgan on the Welsh Assembly Government’s culture strategy "Creative Future".
