Help

This section aims to offer some general advice on finding your way around the youngpeople.pm.gov.uk website. It should be use together with our sitemap.

Homepage

You can use the links on the left of the homepage to move to one of the main sections of the site. You will also find links on the right hand side that lead to specific pages that may be of interest.

Navigation

You can click on the links on the left to visit specific pages within the site. You can also use this list to see which section of the site you are currently in.

Quizzes

All the answers to the quizzes on this site can be found somewhere on the site, usually in the same section as the particular quiz is in. So it's always worth reading the section before you start the quiz, as if you leave the quiz page once you've started you may lose the progress you've made so far.

Increase Text Size

If you find the text on this site is too small, you can change it easily in your browser settings. To do this you should simply adjust your browser's settings:

  • If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the View menu, select Text Size and then either Larger or Largest.
  • If you use Mozilla Firefox, go to the View menu, select Text Size and then either Increase (Control +) or Increase Control ++).

Changing Colours

Changing the site's background colour can be particularly useful for users who rely on magnification technology as white can produce an uncomfortable glare.

It is also possible to change the colour of body text on the site.

Both can be achieved by changing preferences in your browser:

  • If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, select Internet Options, select Colours and make changes to text and background colours in the Colours panel.
  • If you are using Mozilla Firefox, go to the Tools menu, select Options, select the Content tab, then the Colours button and make changes to the colours.
