Monthly Disease Surveillance Reports

These reports are an important part of the scanning (passive) surveillance system which VLA uses to alert Defra to any novel diseases or changing trends in existing ones. The monthly report summarises the overall position for England and Wales. A similar report is produced for Scotland by the Scottish Agricultural Colleges Veterinary Science Division (SACVSD). The reports are also published in the Veterinary Record.
