These pages provide a comprehensive list of Department of Health press officers, their special subject areas, contact telephone numbers and email addresses.

The Delivery and Health Services Team covers media issues surrounding the National Health Service, including primary care, GPs, patient experience, emergency care and recruitment and retention.
Public Health, Health Services and Care Services Team covers media relations for the Minister of State for Public Health, Caroline Flint, Minister of State for Health Services, Rosie Winterton, and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Care Services, Ivan Lewis.
The Consumer media team works proactively with longer lead-in media, including consumer magazines and non-news TV and radio. The team takes a different look at health and NHS issues, developing feature ideas and special projects of interest to a wide audience.
Responsibilities for departmental policy areas are divided among members of the media centre according to ministerial portfolio, and inquiries from journalists should be directed in the first instance to the individual press officer responsible.
