IPPC

The Pollution Prevention and Control (England and Wales) Regulations 2000, which came into force on 1 August 2000, implement a European Commission Directive on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC). The regulations aim to ensure that particular industries consider the environment as a whole, and the impacts of both routine and accidental releases.
