NHS Employers provides information and guidance to NHS organisations on a range of issues relating to pay, terms and conditions. We also manage negotiations with NHS trade unions on behalf of employers and under a mandate from the Department of Health.

We support employers with workforce planning, shaping the workforce of the future and improving workforce productivity. We have created this area of the website - the knowledge base - to share research and reports, and to capture examples of best practice within the NHS.

NHS provides guidance, support and advice on all aspects of domestic and international recruitment, retention and return issues. We also support networks with NHS Employers to develop initiatives and have set up this area of the website - the knowledge base - for this purpose.
