Staff engagement and involvement

NHS Employers is working with the Department of Health (DH) and the NHS trade unions to develop work on staff involvement, staff engagement and the NHS staff survey. Staff engagement and involvement are crucial because involved and engaged staff will we deliver better services for patients.

We are aware that many trusts and Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs) have identified staff engagement as a priority and that there are a range of local initiatives, both new and established. We aim to help NHS organisations learn from others' experience of implementing policy and provide a forum for sharing ideas. This section provides examples, through case studies, of staff engagement projects and initiatives within the NHS.

To help us facilitate the sharing of learning and good practice, we would like to hear about any work you are undertaking around staff engagement, staff involvement and the staff survey, please email staffengagement@nhsemployers.org
