The three-month consultation on the joint proposals to manage staff sickness and ill health retirement in the NHS has now closed. The review partners will meet soon to develop recommendations for ministers which takes into account responses to the consultation. A final agreement will then be announced, allowing any changes to be implemented from 1 April 2008 in line with the changes to the main NHS Pension Scheme. This page includes the consultation document, a summary of the consultation document, and a briefing for employers on the consultation.
