![]() The issue for the NHS is two-fold - as the employer of staff who are victims, and as the service that deals with the physical and mental problems resulting from domestic abuse. Domestic abuse:
Virtually everyone, at some point, uses the health service and so it is in the unique position to ensure that victims of domestic abuse are offered the support and guidance they need. It is because of this that NHS Employers became a founding member of the UK Corporate Alliance Against Domestic Violence (UK CAADV) and will be working closely with experts in the field and NHS Trade Unions to raise awareness of domestic abuse among NHS management and staff.
