Jobs

British Government vets work in a number of different spheres and in different Departments and Agencies. The work is varied and often very challenging and there is scope to specialise or make use of particular expertise.

Each Government Department and Agency advertises any vacancies they may have for veterinary posts. This page provides a focal point for links to recruitment sites which you might find useful and also draws your attention to posts which may be of interest to you if you are a vet thinking of taking up a career in the civil service. In addition, we advertise secondment and loan opportunities for vets already serving in the civil service.
