Welcome to the Home Office’s online databases of certified police protective equipment.
The current database provides a comprehensive listing of personal body armour that has been successfully tested for compliance to HOSDB protection standards at an approved testing facility since 1st October 1999. The current edition of this standard (ref. 7/03) can also be downloaded here.
This site will shortly be enhanced to include equipment and standards for::
- Police Headwear;
- Limb and Body Protectors;
- Public Order Shields; and
- Flame Retardant Overalls.
