DEFRA has been looking for nine Climate Change Champions, aged between 11 and 18, to represent their regions and England as a whole on the issue since September and we have had hundreds of entries – ranging from videos, songs, t-shirts, presentations, posters, sculptures, books, and even websites!
The competition has now closed and we'll soon be holding semi-finals in January, before announcing the winning nine Champions at an event in London on 20 February 2008.
Once they have been announced, the Champions are going to be hosted on www.footprintfriends.com – a brilliant website that is dedicated to young people across the world who are interested in the environment and acting on climate change.
Our Champions are going to be posting photos, writing blogs and answering questions in the online forums, so that's the place to find out what the Champions have been up to. You can view their dedicated page on the website at: www.footprintfriends.com/climatechampions.
