Welcome to the British Council Afghanistan website

We connect people with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and aim to build lasting relationships between the UK and Afghanistan.

The main focus of our work in Afghanistan is English language support. We're also assisting in the reform process, helping Afghan human rights groups develop global networks, and supporting the development of women leaders. We're also helping to protect and preserve Afghanistan's unique cultural heritage.
