The world needs more effective ways to deliver international sustainable development. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Department for International Development (DfID), Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) and HM Treasury (HMT) share responsibility for helping deliver international development that is more sustainable.

WSSD Implementation FundThe International Sustainable Development Fund (ISDF) is a fund managed by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to accelerate implementation of WSSD and MDG commitments.

WSSDThe World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) took place in Johannesburg from 26 August to 4 September 2002. This part of the website outlines the UK Government's preparations for the summit, outcomes of the Summit at home and abroad and UK Government follow-up.
