Great Britain-China Centre

This organisation works to foster and develop relations between the United Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China and to promote mutual knowledge and understanding. In order to achieve these aims, the Centre develops and manages a bilateral exchange programme and supports those who share a commitment to developing closer contacts between the peoples of Britain and China.

The Centre is currently obliged to abide by the non-statutory Code of Practice on Access to Government Information. It is also regulated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Affairs (the Ombudsman).

They are responsible for producing their own publication scheme and dealing with requests for information they hold under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
