Euro 2008 in Austria

The Republic of Austria lies in central Europe and has borders to Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Approx. 62% of Austria's total area is alpine. Austria is divided into 9 States: Vienna, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Styria, Tyrol, Carinthia, Salzburg, Vorarlberg and Burgenland. Main language spoken is German, although the German spoken in Austria might be referred to as Austrian.
