The Documents Database provides access to official FCO documents published since 1997.

• Annual Reports
  The FCO publishes a number of reports on an annual basis. These include the FCO Departmental Report and the Resource Accounts, the Human Rights Report and the Report on Strategic Export Controls.
  
  
• Command Papers
  Command Papers are different types of papers prepared by the Government and presented to Parliament. The FCO regularly presents Responses to Foreign Affairs Comittee Reports, Six monthly developments in the EU and Six monthly reports on Hong Kong.
  
  
• Consultations
  The FCO occasionally invites public consultation on matters of foreign policy. Topics have included the International Criminal Court Bill and the options for regulation of private military companies.
  
  
• Historical Papers
  This area includes History Notes published by FCO Historians.
  
  
• Research & Analytical Papers
  Research & Analytical Papers are published by FCO Research Analysts. The papers are available to browse by theme and geography.
  
  
• Treaties
  The FCO's Treaty Section provides status information on the 36 multilateral treaties for which the UK is depositary. It also publishes documents on UK treaty practice, and provides full text of some treaties. There are links to a variety of other treaty websites.
  
  
• Treaty Command Papers and Explanatory Memoranda (EM)
  Treaty Command Papers published since January 2002 (and, where relevant, the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum) are listed in chronological order and by subject.
  
  
• Miscellaneous Documents
  The FCO has also published a number of official documents on other areas of foreign policy.
