The twelve standards of the Diabetes National Service Framework cover all aspects of diabetes care and prevention, and together with the Delivery Strategy, set out a ten-year programme of change and improvement which will raise the quality of services and reduce unacceptable variations.
Diabetes is a chronic and progressive disease that has an impact upon almost every aspect of life.
This report, published by the Information Centre and Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Authority, reviews the trends in prescribing for diabetes in England and is intended to prompt discussion amongst those involved in commissioning and caring for people with diabetes.
