As part of the developing NIHR/MRC strategy for health research, the NIHR is inviting proposals for the EME programme. The Programme, which is funded by the MRC, is aimed at supporting 'science driven' studies with an expectation of substantial health gain. The clinical studies are likely to be mostly randomised controlled trials but other forms of evaluation appropriate for the intervention under study will also be supported. The deadline for applications is 1.00pm, Monday 31 March 2008.
The Department of Health (DH) invites proposals to undertake a single research project to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of a variety of methods for selection to postgraduate medical training. It is intended that the findings from this research inform planning for current and future medical recruitment.
