Sustainable development makes sense at a local level. Whilst we live in a world where global forces are at play, we can still make a difference in our own neighbourhoods. National policy sets direction, but it's practical action at the local level that makes sustainable development real.
Although we are unable to help individual communities directly, the Commission has a strong interest in the sustainability of communities in areas such as public health, local governance, and sustainable transport. We would like to hear from anyone willing to submit their work as a best practice case study.
