Key contributions to sustainable development: 1. Reduce crime by 15 per cent and further in high crime areas by 2007-8. 2. Reassure the public, reducing fear of crime and anti-social behaviour and building confidence in the Criminal Justice System without compromising fairness. 3. Increase voluntary and community engagement, especially amongst those at risk of social exclusion. 4. Reduce race inequalities and build community cohesion. 5. Produce a Departmental Sustainable Procurement Strategy by 1 December 2005. |
