Welcome to The Family Records Centre website
The Family Records Centre (FRC) is jointly run by the General
Register Office (GRO) and The
National Archives.
The FRC provides access to some of the most important
sources for family history research in England and Wales, including
births, marriages and deaths and census returns. This site will
help you to plan your visit
to the FRC with information to help you with your research.
You can also keep up to date with all the news
from the FRC and read the latest edition of our quarterly newsletter
the Family Record.
The Family Records Centre hosts a year-round programme of events
such as family history talks, lectures and exhibitions. We also
hold regular family history surgeries, computer skills tutorials
and other training events. To find out about these activities and
much more, visit the FRC Extra
section of this website. |
