  • When calling the helpline please note that the opening hours for Whole Farm Approach Website, Quarantine, and Defra Publications options are currently 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. For all other Defra telephone and email enquiries the helpline is available between 8.00am to 6.00pm.
  • The Helpline can experience high volumes of calls at peak times so we appreciate your patience if your call cannot be answered immediately.

Helpline staff can answer many of the questions put to them; however, if they are unable to answer an enquiry themselves, they will connect callers to other Defra staff who can deal with enquiries on specialist issues.
