Freight data feasibility study: Final report (177 kb)

This report summarises the conclusions of the freight data feasibility study as announced in Budget 2008. It concludes that a vignette scheme should not be progressed at this time and that other approaches to the underlying issue of non-compliance with traffic legislation should be considered, such as EU proposals for inter-operable databases of HGV operators.
