Welcome to the website for the Government Office for the South East

We represent central government in the region and our role is to promote better and more effective integration of Government policies and programmes at a regional and local level.

In October 2008 the Prime Minister established a National Economic Council to provide a new approach to coordinating economic policies across Government. This is supported by the Regional Economic Council and the Council for Regional Ministers.

2008 Annual Report of the SE Regional Directors of Public Health
