Brief Description

There are over 8.5 million disabled people in Great Britain, who face major challenges on all forms of transport. The aim of DPTAC is to ensure that disabled people can go where everyone else goes and that they can do so easily and without extra cost.

The secretariat undertakes the day to day running of the DPTAC Committee, which has 4 main meetings a year, a steering group which meets 8 times a year and a number of Working Groups (currently 8). The Secretariat is also charged with enhancing the ability of DPTAC to provide the best level of advice to Ministers and to work to increase evidence based information for Members.

This challenging post will be busy and stretching, central to driving and delivering the DPTAC wider agenda – it will therefore allow for a wide range of development opportunities.
