Public and charitable sectors

Phase 1 has now closed to applications from public sector and charitable organisations. Applications can now only be made through Phase 2 of the programme.


Phase 2

Phase 2 is open for applications of up to £1m for public and charitable sector organisations.

Grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis (provided applications meet pre-determined criteria). There will be no specific energy efficiency criteria applied, nor will technical support from the Carbon Trust be provided.

Grant levels for Phase 2 vary according to technology and will be applied to total installation costs (excluding VAT) as follows:

Solar photovoltaics

50%

Biomass

50%

Ground source heat pumps

50%

Wind turbines

50%

Solar thermal

50%

All Phase 2 installations must be undertaken by one of the dedicated Phase 2 suppliers, or their accredited installers. You can receive grants towards: Solar photovoltaics, Biomass, Ground source heat pumps, Wind turbines and Solar thermal.
