    The Local Government Channel is pleased to announce that nominations in the Council Worker of the Year Awards 2010 are now open. The awards champion the unsung heroes of local government – those council workers who go above the call of duty on a daily basis. Anyone, including the public, can nominate a council employee by 24 February, 2010.
