Summary

The Government published the consultation document The transitional arrangements for the non-domestic rating revaluation 2010 in England in July 2009, to seek views on its proposals for a £2bn transitional relief scheme to limit and phase in increases in the rates liability of a minority of business properties as a result of the 2010 business rates revaluation. This document explains how the comments received during the consultation informed the decision on which transitional scheme would be implemented.
