CALLING ALL POETS

Hiya all you Creative Platform2ers!

We want to produce a book of YOUR poetry inspired by your experiences on Platform2 and showcased alongside established names from the scene such as Charlie Dark.

There will be a launch in London in late September/October followed by similar events across the country where the book will be used as a tool to highlight your talent, engage new young people in development issues and generally spread the development message!

We need your submissions to be in by 1st August, emailed to Lamees: LHafeez@christian-aid.org

You can submit as many poems as you like but they need to link clearly to one of the 12 development themes (see below) and have a short introduction from you on why you wrote it, what inspired you etc. It would also be great if you could include 2/3 photos from your trip which link clearly with your poem.

Development themes:

Agriculture and Food

Climate and environment

Conflict and security

Trade

Education

Gender inequality

Government

Water and sanitation

Health

Human rights

Poverty and development

HIV/Aids

This is your chance to be a published poet. Remember: try and make it personal and specific to your experience. We want a wide range to pick from.

NOTE:
No poems have yet been confirmed so if you submitted in the past, feel free to submit again.

No poems will be accepted after the August 1st deadline.

GOOD LUCK! And get writing!!
Platform2 team
