Apply for a new or renewed passport

Directgov is the home of UK passport information for citizens. You can apply for a UK passport online and access a range of passport information and services.  

How to use this service

Follow the link below to complete an online application form from the Identity and Passport Service (IPS).

The pre-printed application form will then be returned to you to sign, date, add any documents or photographs that are necessary and return for processing.

The main passports section on Directgov includes help and information about all types of passport applications.
