Please click on this photo for a larger image"Most of us take our sight for granted and many of us let a rainy day get us down but my husband does neither having lost his sight twice, and been given it back again.

One retinal detachment made an impact and, although left with some challenges, could have been so much worse if not for the medical treatment available therefore when his other eye's retina became detached, although devastated, we were left with hope. Even on the greyest days we're reminded that without scientific advancement our lives, those of our family, friends and work colleagues wouldn't be the same if we'd had to face the consequences of the loss of his sight. With a regained confidence and a new appreciation of life's black, white and all the gray in between, he's able to enjoy his life whilst bringing sunshine into the lives of others; unattainable without medical science."
