Yes, you are required to login with NHS ATHENS account in order to access Compendle for packaging resources. In addition, you need the contributing rights assigned to your NHS ATHENS user account.

What is IMS?
IMS content packaging refers to the collection and packaging of learning resources (HTML files, images, style sheets, embedded rich content such as Flash or Java) in such a way to enable aggregation, distribution, management, and deployment.
An IMS content package contains two major components: a manifest file (an xml file) containing the organisation and metadata of the package), and the physical files of the actual content.
