Attention NHS purse-string-holders: I wanna start getting paid for these blog entries. What do you say to a quid a word? Actually, call it a fiver. I need cash, you see – and lot's of it! New, smaller attire won't be stuffed into my wardrobe by effortlessly stylish pixies (more's the pity; I don't care for clothes shopping, and...

Well ive finally done it, ive booked onto the course which i hope will change mine and others lives! I find it utterly crazy that only 1 year ago i was obese, unfit and if i truly admit it unhappy, but then i met someone who changed my life for the better, someone who showed me i could do it even when i felt every part of me would fall apart (and believe...

Hi Everyone As I'm new to this, I'm firstly going to introduce myself. My name is Jayne and I'm 40 yrs old, with 4 children whose ages range between 24 and 9. A couple of years ago I managed to lose 4.5 stone with Scottish Slimmers, but over the past year have managed to put a bit of this back on. I'm not a person who manages to keep...

Yeeeaaahhh! I've got my palm in the air; someone high-five me. Today, two - count 'em: two! - colleagues have told me I'm looking thinner. Also, I'll soon need smaller belts, having run out of any more holes on the XL ones I've worn for so long. As I think I've made obvious, I'm feeling rather pleased with myself. The secret...

...Writing a blog that is! Okay, I'm Amy. I'm almost 24; I'm 5 feet 2 inches tall and (insert sharp intake of breath here) hovering around 18 stone. I don't really have any excuses for this, basically I love food and I don't exercise enough but on the other hand I don't see myself as fat. Don't get me wrong I'm under...

This week, Wellpoint has lied again. If it were to be believed, you'd think my weight would be up and down like Oprah Winfrey. I'm still going to use it, every Friday morning, but only for the amusement value. This week's results: Weight: 12st 8lbs (80.1kg) BMI: 26.8 Body fat content: 34.6 I reckon I've had quite a good week this week...

My story I spent most of my teen and young adult years obese topping the scales at 21 stone and a size 26 at just 19 years old.... i was miserable. When i went to university i had a horrid first year... can you believe that i was teased at university for my size... this only made matters worse as i would comfort eat, even sneeking down in the night...

The WeightWatchers diet was going all right. I was losing heft in small, steady amounts. And then on Sunday, I discovered I'd passed a landmark: more than a stone of my well-upholstered self had gone bye-bye over the past month. Marvellous! A small celebration ensued (nothing reckless, just a splash of white wine and a bit of grilled chicken breast...

Well this week I went to my swim session and spent about 20 minutes panicking that all the "beautiful people" would stare at me, the big fat wobbly one. After taking a reality check and deep breath I managed to shout down those fears and get into the changing room and into the pool! Only to find everyone there, and to be honest not exactly...

One of the most difficult things about losing weight is balancing what and how much I eat with when I eat it. It's about still having the occasional treat with not being totally obsessed with my calorie intake. (I'm supposed to eat around 1500 calories a day, for a gradual weight loss.) One Friday about 4 weeks ago I was so tired that I simply...

YES!!! Great result 4 pound loss (now 13st 10lb) and unlike Celebrity Fit Club I am not going to tell myself off for losing twice my target weight. But of course the first week is always the easiest to lose weight so I hope it continues. I didn't really try that hard but just ate sensibly and definitely no chocolate or cakes. Cereal and fruit for...
