Cabinet Office website

Main navigation

The Propriety and Ethics team advises the Cabinet Secretary, Ministers and departments on the theory and practice of Ministers' accountability to Parliament for the work of their departments and agencies.

It is responsible for the Ministerial Code, the Prime Minister's code of conduct and guidance on procedure for Ministers.

The Propriety and Ethics Team also produces an annual list of overseas travel by Ministers costing in excess of £500 and a list of all Ministerial Gifts received over the value of £140. These can be accessed here.

Details of Ministerial Responsibilities can be found on the Ministerial Responsibilities website.
