Samson Oladimeji So what is the way forward after saying so much about the MDGs?

Anshul Saxena Violence against women is a major problem for the society, which needs to be eradicated.. A crime against a woman occurs every 3 minutes; a woman is raped every 29 minutes; a dowry death occurs every 77 minutes; and a case of cruelty by a husband or relative occurs every 9 minutes.. Sex ratio (age 0-6) is 1,000 males t...o 933 females (2001)When we speak of development of the nation.. It seems quite difficult to achieve it unless and until we make the opportunities of development approachable for the women.. we cannot achieve development without providing opportunities of development to the women….. We work for ending Violence against women and for establishing an environment of equality in the region of South Asia….. If you think that Violence against women should be stopped and you can play an important role in it.. Contact us … ….Presently we are working with a group of 150000 changemakers in the State of Madhya Pradesh in India…

Chuks Nwoko Those unending speeches are okay. They are mere lacerations. But we need to move forward. How? Citizens must henceforth take responsibility for themselves and those in their immediate community. Government is non existent here.

Chuks Nwoko If DFID is interested in helping about 16 million women and children and l believe they should be represented at the MDGs awards 2010 to see practical example of the how to do it. Date is 16th October, at Lagos Airport Hotel 111 obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja Lagos 12noon

Karen McComiskey The outcome document emerging from today's MDG summit has explicitly committed to the inclusion of, and accessibility for persons with disabilities in MDG policies and programmes. This is a significant step forward. With more than 80% of persons with disabilities living in developing countries, many have been excluded ...from development programmes due to their invisibility, problems of access and lack of effort to ensure their inclusion.
