Aid Statistics

The Department for International Development (DFID) is responsible for collecting, compiling, reporting and disseminating statistics on the deployment of official and private UK financial resources to support developing countries.

Our annual publication Statistics on International Development (SID) provides information on the UK’s Gross Public Expenditure on Development (GPEX) which includes both the DFID aid programme and official aid that is provided through other UK government departments. SID also reports on the final level of Official Development Assistance (ODA) provided by the UK. See the most recent SID publication

A provisional UK ODA report is released earlier in the year, usually in the March/April before the publication of SID. This report is designated as 'National Statistics'. For more information on ODA and the latest statistical release.

For more information about National Statistics in DFID and how we are complying with the National Statistics Code of Practice please see About National Statistics in DFID.
