Resource pack: guidance on local authority enforcement

Agency Guidance on imported food controls for food law enforcement officers in England has been updated to take account of changes in legislation.

All references to legislation refer to the version current on the date this resource pack was issued. The Agency will continue to update the pack as appropriate. However, should you be uncertain as to how to progress an incident or investigation related to imported food controls, please contact us at imported.food@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk or call our helpline on 0207 276 8018.

The guidance for food law enforcement officers in Northern Ireland and Scotland will also be updated online in due course.
