Drug strategy consultation ends on 30 September

The government plans to publish a new drug strategy in December 2010 and wishes to engage a wide range of partners to influence development of the strategy. The Home Office is leading this work with a consultation that runs until 30 September. The Home Office has asked us to help promote the consultation, and we encourage all our stakeholders to take part.

The vision for the new drug strategy is: “To prevent drug taking, disrupt drug supply, strengthen enforcement and promote drug treatment with the focus on enabling people to become free of their addictions, including alcohol, to recover fully and contribute to society.” The consultation seeks your views on aspects of these four themes and on the strategic vision. Please take a few minutes and have your say.
