In September 2010, the Scottish Food Enforcement Liaison Committee's (SFELC) Research Working Group published an annual report providing an overview of food sampling data collected during 2009 by Scottish Local Authorities (LAs), and placed on the Food Standards Agency’s central database, the UK Food Surveillance System (UK FSS).

The FSA is urgently warning people not to consume Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS). This product is being sold as an oral supplement and is also known as Miracle Mineral Supplement. If you have any of this product you should throw it away. If you have consumed MMS and feel unwell you should consult your doctor.

Morrisons has recalled its Chilli Rice Crackers because the product contains peanut and sesame, which isn’t mentioned on the product label. The allergen advice box say that it ‘may contain traces of nut, peanuts and seame’ but does not declare them as an ingredient.This makes the product a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy to peanuts or sesame. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
Ella’s Kitchen withdraws some baby food

Ella’s Kitchen has withdrawn certain batches and date codes of its baby food because of possible microbial spoilage inside the straw of the packets. The microorganisms that have been identified are harmless.
