The purpose of this review will be to establish the existing evidence base on food safety behaviours in a domestic setting, investigating behaviours particularly associated with the FSA’s 4 Cs: cooking, chilling, cross-contamination and cleaning. The project will have a particular focus on vulnerable groups. The review will build on previous research commissioned by the FSA and the work of the Social Science Research Committee in producing its paper on 'Listeria and the over 60s'.

Food and You is an annual survey that collects robust quantitative data to allow us to compare attitudes and behaviours between different groups within the population, and how these change over time.
The survey also gives us the opportunity to carry out follow-up interviews (with people who give us their permission to do so) to explore some issues in greater depth.
