Headline:

Dull in the north and east. Drier and brighter elsewhere.

This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining cloudy and damp in northern and eastern areas, with occasional drizzle and hill fog. Clearer and drier elsewhere. Low cloud, hill fog and drizzle spreading into the Midlands, east Wales and parts of the south overnight. Breezy and mild.

Saturday:

Most places dull to start but the cloud will break in all but northeastern areas giving sunny spells for many. Some drizzle on northeastern hills coasts at times. Warm.
