Flood

On Thursday 19 November 2009 severe flooding hit Cumbria. Over 1,500 properties were flooded, 200 people were evacuated and six bridges collapsed. It was the UK’s wettest day on record.

The Environment Agency continues to work with the communities affected by the flooding to help repair the damage caused by these floods and reduce the impact of future flooding.
