The work of the Department is diverse. DH offers both full and part-time positions, volunteering and placement opportunities and has a graduate training scheme.

Recruiting staff

DH recruits staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.

Fast Stream

Fast Stream is a graduate training scheme run by the civil service. The Department of Health offers around 10 Fast Stream vacancies a year.

Student placements

The Department of Health has opportunities for placement students to work for a year in our Operational Research teams. Operational Research analysts play an instrumental part in tackling some of the nation's most challenging and high profile health problems.
