Our many scientific and research projects help us to develop and evaluate policies and new technologies for reducing crime and keeping Britain safe from terrorism.

We also collect statistics to inform our policies, for example on the use of animals in scientific work.

Archived publications

We have archived a lot or our publications since the general election (12 May 2010). These publications are still interesting and informative research materials, they are simply stored on the National Archive website.
