WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

Life in the Army comes with loads of rewards. You get good rates of pay from the moment you start training, and your pay rises each year as you gain experience and get promoted. There’s also a great range of financial benefits such as subsidised accommodation, meals, free sport facilities, medical and dental care, cut-price rail travel and an excellent pension scheme.

THE ARMY OFFER

You work hard in the Army, but you get plenty of time off too. Officers and soldiers who serve full time enjoy a minimum of 38 days’ paid leave a year – more than you'd get in most civilian jobs. You get extra paid leave after you’ve been on an operational tour, as well as the chance to travel and take part in loads of different sports.

You can learn while you earn in the Army, with training that gives you recognised qualifications.

Current and future officers and soldiers can get financial help to gain qualifications.
